Achieve the perfect fret radius effortlessly with our fret wire bender. Bend and flatten wire seamlessly to correct over-bends.
Our fret wire bender makes getting the perfect fret radius simple. It’s designed to bend the wire on the front, flatten it in the back—no fuss, just clean results every time.
Why It’s Different
Skip the Allen keys and complex adjustments. Just place your fret wire, turn the handle, and let this tool do the work. Save time, avoid extra steps, and get the job done right.
Bonus Tool: Fret Radius Gauge
Every bender comes with a radius gauge featuring slots for various radii. Slide your wire through the steps to check your radius and fine-tune with ease.
Professional Build
3D printed with high infill for strength. Compact, durable, and ready to perform—whether you’re a pro luthier or a serious hobbyist.
1. Set Up
First, hold the bender steady or mount it to a workbench using the two screw holes at the bottom of the tool. You can also use a bench clamp to secure it.
2. Adjust the Center Roller
To start, set the center roller high by turning the thumb screw to the left. Then, gradually lower it by turning the thumb screw to the right in small increments until you achieve the desired radius. Turning the screw left produces a flatter radius, while turning it right creates a rounder radius.
3. Bend the Wire
Next, rest the wire on the left bearing and place the fret tang between the collars. While making contact with the right roller, slowly turn the handle until the wire touches both rollers evenly, forming your desired radius.
4. Flatten as Needed
On the straightening side, the tool uses flange bearings to keep the fret wire securely in place, preventing it from slipping off the bearings. To flatten the wire, position it between the flanges on the bearings. First, turn the thumb screw to the left to raise the center roller. Then, turn it to the right in small increments, flattening the wire slightly each time. Avoid flattening too much at once, as this may cause the bearings to lock up.
5. Check with the Radius Gauge
After adjusting, use the included fret radius gauge to check your radius. Place the fret wire in the appropriate slot on the gauge to see if the wire matches the desired radius or falls between adjustments.
6. Inspect and Adjust
Finally, inspect the curve and repeat the process if necessary until you reach the desired radius.
This fret wire bender, complete with a convenient fret radius gauge, is the efficient, precise tool you’ve been looking for. So, add it to your toolkit today and make fret work faster and easier!
